I've Got A Reason For Living
I've got a reason for living,
But I'm finding it difficult now.
One of a small group of tunes written and recorded by John and myself. At the time, Gerard's non-involvement seemed to classify them as something other than CA. Now it seems to me that they couldn't really be anything else. I don't think I did much on this song.BN
I have heard this one, I think. Was it called I've Got a Church at one point? I also heard another which I found quite evocative and tried to think why and ended up, later, thinking it should be called Dance of the Nowhere Men. Perhaps it was C.I.A. GG
No, I've Got a Church and C.I.A. were other songs and genuine Peacock/Norland collaborations. This was composed, played and sung by John, I was more or less engineer.BN
Oh, yes. I remember. There were two mixes, too - the same tracks but varispeeded up. I think it was me celebrating my discovery of the augmented chord. I'm glad you didn't quote any of the other lyrics. I don't think I had the slightest idea how lyrics worked. Ben played bass on the Korg as I felt myself to be so wildly uncoordinated that I didn't trust myself playing a straight 4/4 bass. It goes thump-thump-thump-thump-thump-thump-thump-thump-thump-thump-thump-thump-thump twang. No, really, it does. [people]JP
