John Crouch (Person)

John 1982

A lanky leering bandy-legged barbarian permanently swathed in a dilapidated trench coat (not pictured), John's main contribution to the musical life of our circle was the championing of The Doors. He was on hand to join in with the claps on "Here To Go", and also to accompany me on vocals in an impromptu rendition of The Troggs's "Wild Thing", the recording sadly truncated when the tape ran out. Considerably mellowed, John returned to education after c. 15 years on the trains and secured a couple of degrees from one of our nobler seats of learning. (GG)

Having made good, John has for many years been teaching history at a a couple of public schools in the southwest of the county. (GG, 10/2026)
