This track, dating from 2013, was recorded as a sort of test, at least for Gerard, to see if our new virtual set-up with Reason and Dropbox worked. But Ben deemed it fit for release. I think the lyric may have a fault, I think I miss a fairly obvious pair in the "up/down", "here/there", "left/right" series of oppositions that largely comprise the song. I will have to listen again. Where all material on This Is Not Your Shape (2011) was recorded by the three of us at the Hippocampus, our studio at Ben's house in London (and whilst there is a good deal of unreleased material recorded at the Hippocampus), all material on Bad Meditation was recorded virtually, and this is now our established way of working.
