John's song. There is some evidence of conceptual activity -- CAca perhaps -- around this, what with "Lament" (released on The Uncle of the Boot), "Dialogue of Skull and Sou" (released on Endzeit), and John's pièce de résistance "Smilin' for the Sirens" (unreleased). What could it all have meant. Another identity. Perhaps we should have come up with a rock'n'roll alter ego to add to the related groups. I have a note that at one point we considered putting these rock'n'roll things together on a short tape. (GG)
