One of a number of related groups and projects, Snot Babies was our attempt to reinvent punk. Why we thought it needed reinventing, I don't know. If I remember correctly, Snot and Babies were the last two entries on a list of substances and objects excreted from the human body. (Ben)

The Snot Babies had two other members, Alistair Murray (bass) and Simon Hood (drums). The group did not record but played two Snot Babies, described in Stabmental 7 as 'a stunningly powerful wall of sound'. There are photos. (Gerard)

Also we shouldn't forget Patrick Nevins who provided the psychadelic light and slide show for the performance. He also provided the same for Cultural Amnesia's concert at Ewelme. (Ben)

'A slide show depicting early childhood' as Stabmental put it, though I'm not sure that that was a particular theme. (Gerard)

The list of excretions was part of Simon Hood's biology homework, that he was working on in the school library. I commented that it would be a good name for a band, and shortly afterwards it was a band. I note on good band names whenever they arise in conversation, but this is the only time one has been actualised. (John)
